New Beginnings.

It's been over a month since I've posted and there's been an enormous amount of things going on. To sum up the past month- College is everything you'd expect it to be and more. I've met some people that I couldn't see my life without, and I've met others that I wish I never had. Which brings me to why I remembered my blog and wanted to post.

Take a moment one day and just sit down and think about all of the things that you've let go; moved on from. Then think about the things you gained from letting those things go. Are you happier now? Or are you stuck in the same position as myself of not knowing whether you're truly happier or not?
We move on to let go of the things that once made us happy that no longer do. When moving on we find new problems, but
a wise person will never face the same problems.
I can't say that I am completely content with where I am in my life, but I can say that I am hundreds of times happier then I was a year ago, even two months ago. So the best advice that I can give to anyone dwelling on the past, wondering if the choices you've made have put you in a better position today, is to remember that you CANNOT change any decision you've made before now. You cannot change what you chose yesterday, let alone a year ago. The past is gone and it is not going to come back. So rather than depressing over what was, thrive off of what tomorrow can be. Become the person you want to become, surround yourself with the people you want to surround yourself with, and always, ALWAYS look out for YOUR best interest in life. Take what is given to you and make the choices YOU feel necessary to make it better.
I'm not all the way there, but I feel happier with everyday that I learn to
let go and not worry about the things that I cannot control.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but simply moving on with dignity despite that fear.

"Taylor, I'm really happy for you, Ima let you finish.. But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.. one of the best videos of ALL TIME."

Coming from the perspective of an extremely big Kanye fan, what he did last night was completely uncalled for. What he did at the EMA's was funny in a way and a little bit less harsh only because it actually had something to do with him. This award didn't involve him in any way and made him look like a complete ass for ruining a 19 year old girls first VMA moment. But on the flip side, everyone will get over it. I'm not gonna stop being a Kanye fan and I don't believe that his career is anywhere near "over" for this. And for those fans that have completely lost respect for him and aren't gonna listen to his music anymore, then I guess you weren't a fan for the right reasons in the first place. This man makes outstanding music, and no matter what he does or may do in the future, he's made classic albums and with that alone he will be remembered.

Anyways, I saw this article and thought I'd post it because I agree with it in many ways.
Kanye Was Right

But just so no one takes this wrong, I think what Ye did was COMPLETELY wrong. Regardless, I will remain a fan.

"Can miles truly separate you from friends? If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there?"
-Richard Bach

"Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love."
-George Eliot

Goodbyes have never been easy, but saying goodbye is only a stepping stone to new hellos. The ones that are meant to be there will remain there. With all tough times comes new lessons learned. Leaving the people you love will test relationships and eventually tell you a lot about yourself and also the people that you left behind. Never forget the people in your past, for they made you who you are today. But never remain in the past because one must always move forward.

goodbye 503, hello 541.
